Congratulations and thank you to all this past weekend’s tennis players! It was a beautiful weekend for tennis and the tournament was a great success! Here are the results:

An Introduction to Homeopathy

Join us on Tuesday June 15th at 10:45 AM and 6:30 PM for a discussion led by Amanda Richards. This talk will provide an overall introduction to classical homeopathy, with an emphasis on sports medicine and the application of homeopathic remedies to achieve peak performance and heal injuries faster. MRFC’s Junior Tennis Camps for Summer 2010!

Once Again MRFC will offer Junior Tennis Camps for Children age 6-18!

The 2010 Whitey Joslin Junior Tennis Camp for ages 10-18 will run on Monday, Wednesday and Friday from11 AM to 3:30 PM and will offer two sessions: July 12, 14, 16 and August 2, 4, 6. Daily, Weekly and Two Week Rates are available! Each Week will include Tennis specific fitness training, instruction, games and match play!

For the second year, MRFC will offer a Junior QuickStart Tennis Camp for ages 6-9 which will run on Tuesday and Thursdays from 11 AM – 2 PM and will offer three sessions: July 6,8, July 13, 15 and August 3,5. Again Daily, Weekly, Two and Three Week rates are available. This camp will use the USPTA’s 36′ and 60′ tennis courts and was a great success last year!

Contact MRFC for specific rates, if you wish to have camp information mailed to you or to sign-up for camps. Spaces are limited so sign-up early!

On Saturday Jan 23rd and 30th, MRFC will close one tennis court to allow for more energy efficient ballasts and bulbs to be installed! Note that a lift and workmen will be on the courts throughout the day and based on how quickly work moves on each court, we may need to move you from one court to another. We apologize in advance for any disruption this may cause but we’re sure you’ll love the lights once they are completed! Thanks for your patience!

Congratulations to NH’s 14 & Under Intermediate Level Granite State Kids Team!!! After winning in NH and New England they recently tripped down to Alabama and took 5th place at the Nationals! This team was coached by our own Whitey Joslin and also by Skip Burbine from Londonderry! The team included New London’s and MRFC’s own Emmie Snyder, Max Vivado (Bedford), Tom Russo (Nashua), Harrison Max (Londonderry), Andrew Simko (Florida/Sunapee), Patrick Dellinger ( Kansas/Sunapee), Cassie Burbine (Londonderry), Jennifer Dai (Nashua) and Amanda DePasquale (Londonderry). Congratulations and Well Done!!!

WOW! 14 & Under Hereos Team & Super Senior 8.0 Men’s Team heading to Nationals

Whitey Joslin, Glenn McKune and Tom Diehl, along with their teammates Tom Viccaro, Bruce Liebig, Warren Steele and Nick Ourusoff, will be heading off to Arizona this spring for the National Super Seniors for the second year in a row! Congratulations to them all!

Also heading off to Nationals in October, after just winning the Jr Sectionals this week, is the Joslin/Burbine 14 & Under Intermediate Hereos Jr Team playing out of Mountainside! This is a team of both local, summer and Manchester based juniors, half of whom were part of last year’s team which also made Nationals! Congrats to Emmie Snyder, Harrrison Max, Patrick Dellinger, Tom Russo, Max Vivado, Jennifer Dai, Cassie Burbine, Andrew Simko, Amanda Depasquale and Ryan Broderick and of course to coaches Whitey Joslin and Skip Burbine!

2009 Summer Tennis Programs at The Outing Club

MRFC is once again teaming up with the New London Outing Club to offer both adult and children’s tennis programs. New this summer: Cardio Tennnis, Burn clinics, Jr Quick Start Camp and Adult Singles and Doubles Tournaments! Registration for summer programs begins June 2nd and a full listing of programs can be found at the Outing Club website at www.theoutingclub.net. Remember, clinic and league participation is limited so register early!
